Smoking
seriously affects children’s health. If their parent’s
smoke around them, they are more likely to develop lung
cancer or have a stroke when they are adults. This is
the effect of “ Passive Smoking”. Even more
serious is the effect of cigarette smoke on new born babies.
You are not allowed anywhere near a newborn child within
two hours of smoking any form of nicotine ! |

Paul and Gemma
are not only keen to protect children’s health,
but by helping their parents stop smoking, the less likely
it will be that children will succumb to the intense peer
pressure to start smoking, in their senior schools. |

Paul and Gemma
work with Primary Schools to bring together groups of
parents to stop smoking in an enjoyable evening session
Which bonds the school community together so they can
help each other through if they have any difficulties
during the withdrawal phase. |

The procedure
is very similar to a Corporate Stop Session, with the
emphases targeted to protect the next generation. Parents
find the session really bonds them together. When they
meet whilst dropping off or collecting children, they
often swop experiences about withdrawing from nicotine
and encourage one another to stay stopped. |
